Carer’s lunch at Highgate September 2024
Highgate recently hosted a lunch for 30 local carers. This has become a popular yearly event and Sue Hessel who runs the group sent this message:
‘The Highgate tennis club lunch really is far more of a highlight for carers than people might imagine. Carers spend their lives giving – many of our carers come from some of the most deprived parts of Haringey, and many have been caring around the clock for their disabled family members for decades. They rarely go out for meals. It is such a treat for them to sit down at a table and be served a delicious lunch, prepared and cooked by your fine quality chefs.
Your donation acknowledges the hard, often quiet work that carers give, for often little reward. We send you all our heartfelt gratitude’.
