The tennis ladder is a singles league running 365 days a year, attracting more than 160 players in 15 divisions. Each round is played over four months. Top three go up; bottom three go down.

Winter Floodlit Leagues
Cold, dark winter nights are no barrier to a vibrant winter scene at Highgate. A doubles event runs from October to March on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Winter league format
The Winter League will start around the beginning of October. For those of you who need reminding, or wish to join in for the first time, the format of the tournament is as follows.
Monday nights – Men up to and including 6th team standard, and women up to and including 3rd team standard. Players must be of a standard that they can rally in a doubles environment. 7pm start
Tuesday nights –For members of the men’s teams 1-4 and women’s team 1. If you do not play in teams – ladders 1-3 or equivalent standard.
Thursday nights –Organised Club social tennis.
Club Tournaments
Highgate Club Championship
The premier tournament at the club completed in two intense summer weeks. Singles, doubles and mixed competitions, with plate tournaments for first round losers.
Brookside tournament
A fun-packed, highly popular handicap tournament played on our shale courts over three weeks in May. Anyone can enter…anyone can win.
Teams
LTA Middlesex Summer League
An opportunity to represent the club in one of the many teams we enter in the LTA Middlesex summer league, AEGON league, Middlesex Cup and Vets league. Doubles matches are played over four sets weekday evenings between April and July.
LTA Middlesex Winter Leagues
We enter a number of teams in the LTA Middlesex Floodlit league, the winter vets league and the mixed winter Middlesex Cup. Matches are played between October and March.
