HCLTC 2015 AGM Notice

Notice of Annual General Meeting to be held at the club on Sunday 29th March 2015 at 12 noon. The Tennis Section AGM will follow at 2pm.

Venue – Highgate Cricket & Lawn Tennis Club, Shepherds Cot, Park Road, London, N8 8JJ

Vacant positions

The club needs to fill three positions as a matter of urgency – a fundraiser with experience in developing bids and raising money from other sources and a tennis secretary who plays a vital role in helping to run the tennis committee and its functions and a social secretary who will help to organise events and social fundraisers.  If anyone is interested in either role please contact Richard Tusting (rich.tea99@gmail.com – 07985 550019) or Miki Lentin (mikilentin@fastmail.co.uk – 07976 793 666).  The club is here for you all and we rely on our member’s support, so any help you can provide would be gratefully received.

Nominations

  • Nominations are invited for any position. These can be made via the nominations sheet in the clubhouse or by e-mail to patsy.nightingale@gmail.com or mikilentin@fastmail.co.uk
  • Nominations should be received no later than midnight on 22nd March 2015. The list of nominations will then be circulated to the membership. If there is only one candidate nominated to fill any particular vacancy, that candidate shall be declared elected unopposed for that particular vacancy at the Annual General Meeting.
  • If there is more than one candidate for any particular vacancy there shall be an election in accordance with Section E4 of the Club Constitution.
  • If no nomination has been received 7 days before the meeting, nominations will be accepted at the AGM and if appropriate an election held.  A copy of all nominations received will be posted at the clubhouse and updated as nominations are received, up until the closing date for nominations.
