Tuesday Winter League – Final Results

Firstly, congratulations to Antonio who won the Winter League Cup for the third time!  It was good to see him defending, his not inconsiderable, lead on the final night.  Tom Wilcox grabbed the runners up spot and was also in the running for the most improved player award.  Last year’s winner; Louise; won the Michelle Cook award.

Jason ran away with the Commitment & Dedication award having attended all the weeks;  he was another contender for most improved player although this award eventually went to Richard Mechan for his high quality tennis that he has carried over into the ladder.

It was great to see Martin walk away with the Winter League Sports Personality of the Year award.  Martin embodies the partnership and fairness characteristics that the rest of us strive for but sometimes fail.

Finally a big thanks to Nicky for helping with the organisation and to Chanya and Amy who have looked after us so well and delayed their holiday so that they could be there for the finals night.
