Club house entrance improvements

Improving the main entrance to the club house

Next week we will start to undertake some works to improve the look and feel of the main entrance to the club house.  This will include replacing the paving stones, which have become a trip hazard, trimming and tidying the hedges, renovating the fence and gate, installing some new bike racks (thanks to TfL), introducing a new external notice board and providing a wheelchair ramp to Court 1 to make it accessible to wheelchair players.

Part of the cost of these works is being paid for from the grant the club was awarded from the Telegraph Subscriber Community Fund 2013 towards  our work with blind and partially-sighted players.  The rest of the budget is being paid for by the club.

The works are being undertaken by Simon Rawson, who renovated the first floor of the club house and we don’t expect much inconvenience.
