Club Tournament Draws
The draws for the 2014 Club Tournament are now on the website, and will be up on the noticeboard in the clubhouse shortly.
Play by dates have been given for each round, so please ensure that you arrange your matches to meet these deadlines. As the Men’s Singles is a large draw the first round is due to be played by Sunday 27th July, so please contact your opponent as soon as possible to get a date and time agreed.
Main courts 1-4 are available to book in the evenings and at weekends from Saturday 26th July to Friday 8th August, and a tournament folder containing booking sheets will be available on the bar in the clubhouse from the evening of Monday 21st July.
The finals day schedule for Saturday 9th August will be announced nearer the time. All juniors that have entered the draw have (Jnr) after their name. Junior contact details are not on the membership list, and so if your match is against a junior then please e-mail info@highgate-tennis.co.uk to request parent contact details.
Any player knocked out in the first round is eligible to enter the plate draw for that event at no extra cost. Sign up sheets for the plate will go up in the clubhouse at the start of the tournament.
Organisers needed! We need organisers (especially for the earlier days) to collect money from entrants, hand out balls, take results, and answer any questions regarding the tournament rules. It would be great to see some new faces helping out with the tournament, so if you are willing to cover one or more slots then please e-mail Nicky Wellfair (nwellfair@hotmail.com) with the date(s) you can make.
Weekend sessions are split into 3 (9am-12noon, 12noon-3pm, 3pm-6pm) and weekday sessions are from 6.30pm onwards (but if you can’t get there for the start please don’t let it stop you volunteering).
