Highgate’s Tennis at Home programme!

Dear Parents,

Many thanks to all of those who filled out the online survey over the last few days. We had 72% of responses wanting to continue the programme online over lockdown. Therefore we are excited to announce Highgate’s Tennis at Home programme!

With the lockdown lasting 4 weeks we will issue 2 weeks of credit and use the other 2 weeks to cover the costs of the content and coaches’ time putting all this together. We hope that you find this good value for money.

Please see below for the programme of content over the next 4 weeks:

HT

• For every age group (Tots, Blues, Reds, Oranges, Greens, Yellows & Inclusive) we will produce a weekly pre-recorded lesson for the kids to follow at home or in the garden/park
• Every fortnight (weeks 2&4) the coaches will do a live zoom catch-up with the kids (not Tots due to the age of the kids) – these will be on Mondays & Wednesdays after-school and Saturday mornings (more details to follow).
• Weekly Challenges for the kids which we will follow on social media with prizes for the best ones in each age group

HPT

• For each squad (Reds, Oranges, Greens & Yellows/Girls) we will produce a weekly pre-recorded lesson for the kids to follow at home or in the garden/park
• S&C to produce 2x pre-recorded videos and 2 live sessions per week – Tuesdays & Fridays 5-5.30pm.
• Every fortnight (weeks 2&4) the coaches will do a live zoom catch-up with the kids, these will be on Tuesdays & Fridays after-school (more details to follow).
• Weekly Challenges for the kids which we will follow on social media with prizes for the best ones in each age group

All Juniors 

• Junior Club Nights will continue on Fridays with a fun and social Quiz each week – 10&U 6-7pm and 11+ years 7-8pm.

If you don’t have any tennis equipment at home, please drop Director of Tennis, Lucy, a message and she will sort out a time for you to come and pick up some equipment to hire free of charge – 07846872043.

We hope that to engage as many of the kids as possible and would please ask for everyone to give this a try. As this is the first time we are putting such a programme together, please bear with us if we have some teething problems.
