So, with the agreement of the Trust, we have decided to continue the trial on an ongoing basis Monday to Friday from site opening (around 7am) through to 4pm in the afternoon.
This is in line with the Trust’s plans for improving the site and moving most parking to the two main entrance car parks to make the centre of the site a safer, more pedestrian and family friendly environment.
It will also allow everyone to get a feel for parking in the main car parks before a full 12-month trial the Trust will be implementing, starting in the Autumn, after the cricket season.
Just a recap on arrangements from Tuesday 22nd April onwards
If you’re arriving at the site by car or motorcycle Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm you will need to use either the Shepherds Lane (Park Road entrance) car park or the Cot Way (Montenotte Road entrance) car park and then make the 1-2 minute walk to the club. Cot Way will be pedestrian and cycle only (except authorised, blue badge, delivery or emergency and vehicles), see infographic below.
As with the recent signage you may have seen around the Cot, if you’re able to walk, cycle or take the bus to get here, even better, it’ll give you a free pre-play warm up, you can come right to the doorstep at the club, and you’ll be helping to reduce the parking burden on the site.
Please also be mindful and aware of the ongoing building works at Brookside and Georgians if you’re walking up from the Shepherds Lane car park.
Feedback and queries:
If you’re interested to know more about this ongoing trial or have any feedback please speak to Jane Sumner, Anjali Turner or Richard Tusting or email info@highgate-tennis.co.uk. We would be keen to hear views of what works well and what could do with some tweaks ahead of the full trial in Autumn.
