Fancy writing a short story or poem about tennis?

We’re trying to collect short stories (up to 1000 words) or poems about tennis. The aim is to make the collection into a book. We’d therefore be grateful if you would forward this request to members of your club or anyone who you think may be interested in contributing. The pieces should be the original work of those who submit them and should not have been previously published.

Contributors should please provide their name, address and phone numbers. We will send a free copy of the book to all those whose pieces we choose to include. Below is a short story of my own that was published in the Big Issue as a sample of the type of thing we’re looking for.
