Thursday Night Blues – an update on Thursday Night Winter League

With Diwali explosions booming in the still night air, on her return to the front Sarah B dethroned last week’s Lady of the Night Jill R to become Princess of the Knights. Two men divided their spoils to share the King’s Crown: Henry H and Tom W. Congratulations all three!

Due to a slightly delayed start – Elvis (alias Tim) mislaid his mobile in his blue suede shoes thus failing to inform of his absence and I was afflicted by numerical dyslexia while attempting to implement the ranking order adroitly; thus fewer games were accrued by 17 players. We averaged 15.5 during our first evening but only 14.3 last night.

Henry will be catapulted up the ranking to more different climes while Sarah inches her way up and Tom W remains the man to get the better of. Other risers include Janet, John N, John A.

I will call it no later than 7.10 pm next week. The sign up is now by ‘your fair hand’ on the noticeboard.
