Brookside Finals Day Social Arrangements

Come down and enjoy the Brookside Tournament Finals Matches.

The plate matches will be played from 9.30am and the main finals start at 1pm.

There will be seating available and refreshments such as Pimms and Strawberries.

After then presentations of the trophies there will be a BBQ available back at the clubhouse from 6pm.

Bring all your friends and family.

The Brookside Tournament is progressing well.

Women’s Doubles Quarter Finals Match:

Ewa and Noleen are storming ahead into the semi finals after beating Pippa and Susan in two sets in their quarter final match. It was well fought and everyone reflected on their performance over a cold drink at the clubhouse.

Women’s Semi Finals Match:

After a well fort match Susan beat Anne 6-4, 6-0. In the women’s semi final match. This will be Susan’s third ladies singles finals for Brookside. But who’s going to be her opponent? Sarah Burke, Glenda M, Noleen or Vicky Gilbert

Two matches had to stop play after a cat refused to leave the court!

The Brookside Tournament officially began on Saturday 18 May, but Benjy Barron and David Norris played the first match the week before. Youth prevailed with 10 year old Benjy taking it 6-1, 6-4.  A remarkable result considering it’s benjy’s first match since moving up to yellow ball at the weekend and his first against an adult. David went down in true Brookside spirit, sporting to the end. Well done both.
