HIGHGATE CLUB TOURNAMENT 2018
This years Club Tournament is now in full swing.
Club Finals Day will be held on Saturday 18 August and will be followed by the summer party, which will start after the presentation ceremony. There is no charge for attending the Party – just pay for food, which is a BBQ. A local 3-piece band will provide entertainment.
Schedule for the day will be as follows:
- 11.00am – Plate Finals
- 1.00pm – Mixed Doubles
- followed by (2.30pm approx.) – Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles
- followed by (4.00pm approx.) – Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles
- followed by (5.30pm approx.) – Presentation Ceremony and Summer Party

The dates indicated in the draws are ‘play by’ dates for each round and it is up to players to contact their opponents to arrange matches. You can view the adult membership list here. If you have any difficulty finding contact details for a player, please email info@highgate-tennis.co.uk
All matches are best of 3 tie-break sets. Courts may be booked for matches in the evenings and at the weekends – players will need to manually enter bookings in the tournament folder.
A full list of rules and the court booking sheets can be found in the tournament folder (which will be on the club bar).
There are plate tournaments open to first round losers (except seeds) in all events provided we get a minimum of 4 entrants. Sign up sheets for the plates can be found on the club noticeboard. Players with a bye in the first round who then lose in the second round (i.e. the first match they play) may also enter the plate.
*Please note: The cut-off for plate entries is midnight Saturday 11th August – so please be sure to write your name on the sign up sheet (club noticeboard) or email Jack Luscombe.
