NATIONAL LOCKDOWN – COVID-19 update – Club CLOSED

Dear Members,

We are disappointed to announce that as of Tuesday 5th January  Highgate Tennis Club will be closed until the lockdown restrictions are lifted, hopefully this will be in mid February 2021.

It is important that we adhere to the Government & LTA guidelines and respectfully do not try to illegally access the tennis courts. All gates will be locked and Shepherd’s Cot will also be closing their gates to motorized access from 4pm (pedestrian and cycle access remain) with all sporting activity suspended.

The Club will be sending out more information over the coming days with what this means for members and coaching attendees, please bear with us as we sort this all out.  Emailing the administrators only adds to their workload at this busy time so please wait till we send out information before sending individual enquiries.

We will be in touch with more information on our lockdown activities and coaching programmes in due course. We hope to be back in mid-Feb but until then stay safe and look after yourselves! The Aussie Open starts on the 8th Feb so hopefully that will warm us up nicely for a return to the courts.

More information on the LTA guidelines as to how the coronavirus (Covid-19) and the latest government advice around it, relates to tennis activities in Britain can be found here.

See you all soon.

Best Regards,
Highgate Tennis Committee
